Kadarka

One of our top sellers! Kadarka, originally introduced to Hungary, is today grown in many areas in and around the former Yugoslavia. Ours is sourced from Povardarska, Macedonia. This deeply ruby red wine quenches with a sweet upfront, light-bodied mouth feel, light and fresh fruity aroma & palette, and a dry finish. This is a typical yet special Eastern European wine. On a hot summers day enjoy it well chilled from the fridge on it’s own or at the BBQ. Take it to your favourite Mediterranean restaurant and share with your friends for a real treat.

It really is surprisingly light and refreshing, especially when served chilled, with quite a mild alcohol content at only 10%. All the body and anti-oxidant goodness of red wine but without strong tannins, and much less acid than found in white wine. It could be a gateway red for white wine drinkers, and dangerously easy to drink!
