Erben Spaetburgunder Rheinhessen

A medium fruity, mellow red wine made from the “Blauer Spätburgunder” (German Pinot Noir). These are rarely exported and are often very expensive in Germany. As “Rhenish” German Pinot noir, is mentioned several times in Shakespearean plays as a highly prized wine.
Soft and mouth filling fruity character, this beautiful late harvested wine is served best with roast lamb or pork for a treat, or with cheese and crackers in the afternoon. Goes well also with Italian cuisine. Exceptional wine if cellared for a few years. Served slightly chilled in Summer, this wine is very refreshing!
